Lonesome Roads

Nurse be stalking. They probably could have you know just killed it and be over with, but running seemed cooler. Trucy was bawling "I don't wanna get my temperature taken!"

"I don't even like needles!!!"Ethan screamed.

Everyone kept going until they reached a large waterfall like drop. This was the end of the line. "Our only chance is to jump!"

"ARE YOU CRAZY!?WHO KNOWS HOW BIG IS THE FALL!?"Aiden shouted.

Sexy Nurse Monster approaches. "You got a better idea kid?"

"Umm..no.""THEN JUMP"Ethan pushed him and everyone else jumped.

Washing through the sewers.

It stinks there.

Soon they wash up in the remains of the old city river. Trucy coughed up sewer water "Ew god that was disgusting!"

"It smells worse.."said Aiden.

Martin pulled the nameless woman out onto the rocky shore. Trucy kept complaing "My clothes are wrecked what the hell kind of idea was this..."

"Blame.Your,Dad."Ethan said.

"God... why didn't we just shoot that bitch anyway?" she continued to complain as she tried to squeeze the water out of her skirt. Martin continued to try and snap the woman out of it but she seemed stuck in a state of shock. He scooped her up again and said "Alright we gotta get out here, we follow the river a bit we can be out of the city long before night hits. Aiden, you take point."

"How come I always have to o stuff?!"protest."Do it..."two creepy voices of Ethan and Beatrice.

Trucy angry voice and head slap "Quit being a baby and take some damn responsibility!" Martin helped the lady onto his back and said "Just lead the way Aiden, we shouldn't expect to see much trouble around here anyway this close to the city limits."

Grumpily he lead the way.

They walked along the rivers bank. The further they went the more the buildings begin to disappear around them until they were once more surrounded by wasteland.

"So..where to now..everything looks the same here..."

Martin pulled the NavTech device out of his pocket and switched it on. "We just find where the old roads were and follow them for awhile."

And so they did...for three hours.

Everyone gets tired and takes a rest along the road. Martin commented "By the looks of things, this area was all farmland before the bombs fell."

"..Looks like a stupid dessert to me.."

Martin stared around at the bleak landscape and agreed "I guess the nuclear fallout wiped out most of the local plant life." he wiped the sweat from his brow and and started handing out some more water and sandwichs, including some to the lady who was still acting unresponsive.

"Is she going to be ok?"Beatrice asked.

Martin checked her again "It's hard to say... whatever happened back in that hospital spooked her real bad." Trucy looked concerned "Well we can't just abandon her that would be cruel."
