Some hate both some love both. Nobody really knows spidermans origin or identity either while Xmen are known to be mutants and some have very public identities.

Also one of the issues people have with mutants is they have something called the mutant or Xgene which if they reproduce will spread and they think this will evenrually wipe out normal humans because mutants aee more possible
